Who Applies? You do.
The MSFH grant is a homeowner-driven program. By state law, contractors cannot apply on your behalf. You must submit your application directly through the official state portal (mysafeflhome.com).
Who Does the Work? You Choose.
As of recent program updates, the state no longer forces you to use a restrictive "approved contractor list." You have the legal right to choose any Florida state-certified contractor.

The Eligibility Checklist
- Must be a site-built, single-family detached home or townhouse.
- Must be your primary, owner-occupied residence with an active Homestead Exemption.
- The initial building permit must have been issued before January 1, 2008.
- Your home's insured value (Coverage A) must be $700,000 or less (Low-income applicants are exempt).

Get the Free State Inspection
Apply at mysafeflhome.com for a free wind mitigation inspection.
Submit Your Grant Application
Once the inspection recommends roof upgrades, submit your official grant application.
Name Your Contractor
During Stage 2 of the application, provide our name (Hart Roofing LLC) and our state license number (CCC1333799).
WAIT FOR APPROVAL
Critical Warning: Do not sign a contract or let us start work until you receive your official Grant Approval Letter. If work begins early, the state will deny your reimbursement.
Build & Reimbursement
We execute the MSFH-compliant roof replacement. Once completed and inspected, you submit our paid-in-full invoice to the state for your reimbursement check.
